Media converter DMC-920T D-Link

D - Link Corporation, a world leader in the production of network equipment, presents the new media converter DMC - 920Т. The DMC - 920T device converts "twisted pair - single-mode optical cable over one fiber" interfaces for 10/100BASE - TX and 100BASE - FX Ethernet networks. The DMC - 920T media converter allows simultaneous transmission and reception of signals at wavelengths of 1330 nm and 1550 nm along one optical fiber at a distance of up to 20 km. This is achieved by using different DMC - 920T modules at both ends of the communication line.

DMC-920T media converter has 1 RJ-45 port for twisted pair and 1 port for optical cable (SC connector). The twisted pair port supports automatic detection of speed, operating modes (full-duplex or half-duplex), MDI/MDI-X polarity, which simplifies the installation of media converters in the existing network. The DMC-920T module can be used as a separate device or installed in a universal 16-slot chassis for DMC-1000 media converters.

The converter supports advanced control functions such as LLCF (Link Loss Carry Forward, Link Pass Through) and LLR (Link Loss Return) for the FX port. When installing the DMC -920T device in the DMC - 1000 chassis, its special control module (DMC - 1002) allows you to monitor the state of the communication channel, the operating mode of the speed value and counters of received and transmitted packets for both data transmission environments via SNMP. This module also allows you to set the operating mode, transmission speed, enable and disable the LLCF and LLR functions for each physical environment.
