Media converter TP-Link MC111CS

TP-Link MC111CS is a media converter used for signal conversion and subsequent connection of a 100BASE-FX fiber optic cable to a 100Base-TX twisted pair and vice versa. The device supports WDM technology, which allows you to save 50% of the cost of the cable, since the transmission and reception are carried out on the same cable.

Designed specifically for the IEEE 802.3 u 10/100Base-TX and 100Base-FX standards, the MC111CS media converter is intended for use with a single-mode fiber optic cable connected via the SC connector. The MC111CS belongs to a class of devices that use a long-wavelength laser (LX) to transmit at maximum speed. When transmitting and receiving data, the converter works at wavelengths of 1550 nm when transmitting and 1310 nm when receiving. Therefore, in order to communicate with the MC111CS, the devices on the other end of the wire must operate at 1310 nm when transmitting and 1550 nm when receiving. Yes, the MC112CS media converter produced by TP-LINK is just such a device, and is fully compatible with the MC111CS.

Among other features of this device, it should be noted that the media converter can be used as an independent product (the MC111CS does not require a mounting chassis) or together with TP-LINK's 19 special chassis with Auto MDI/MDI-X support.
