Mifare DESFire EV2 2K smart card (01-032)

The Mifare Desfire EV2 card operates at a frequency of 13.56 MHz and the ISO14443A standard. Available memory: 4 or 8 KB. On order: chips with 2, 16, 24 KB memory.

Distinctive feature: built-in UID identifier (UID), which can be rewritten several times. The card uses the NXP MF3ICDx memory chip.

Differences of DESFire EV2 from the previous release DESFire EV1 cards: Increased level of security (EAL5 +): can be used as bank cards, ID passports; Kasik card imitation function; Different levels of access to internal memory (reduced data access rights by third parties); Unlimited number of files for each application in the card file system; Increased buffer communication 128 bytes (2/4/8 Kb) or 256 bytes (16/32 Kb); The ability to broadcast the MAC address during authorization; Several sets of keys to the internal memory; Creation of a virtual copy of the card; The ability to check the authenticity of the card. (bank) cards and state identity cards (ID-passports).

When using the card, it is possible to work only with the internal memory: the identification data of the card will not be visible to third parties. This functionality will come in handy when third parties are constantly working with access cards (for example, the personnel department adds photos of employees), but we do not have access to other information.

The features of these cards include on-chip backup management and three-factor authentication. Thanks to this, you can store up to 28 applications and an unlimited number of files for each application in the file system of the card.

The main advantage of DESFire cards over Mifare Classic cards is security. These cards support DES, 2KTDES, 3KTDES and AES128 encryption, ISO14443A protocols (parts 1-4).
