If there are scratches, they can contribute to deformation. This reduces the service life of the magnetic shaft and the quality of the toner used for printing. The surface of the magnetic shaft is covered with a shell, which conducts current. The shell may require independent replacement, separate from the magnetic shaft. If the print is very light, then you need to replace only the shell itself. Most often, this is wear of the surface of the magnetic shaft itself or the result of contamination. If the coating is worn, then looking at the magnetic shaft, you will see a silvery sheen of the coating. This means that the coating is worn out and the shell must be replaced. This malfunction is very easy to see in large areas of the drawing with a dense black fill. When printing the text, this defect may not be detected at all or it will not be so noticeable.
