The magnetic shaft attracts the toner, which acquires a negative charge under the action of direct or alternating current, in other words, the shaft transfers the toner to the photo drum from the hopper. The magnetic shaft directly affects the quality of printing and image formation. Its damage can lead to a strong decrease in print quality. Dirt and dust can accumulate on the shaft casing. If there are scratches, they can contribute to deformation. This reduces the service life of the magnetic shaft and the quality of the toner used for printing. The magnetic shaft has a strong influence on the entire operation of the cartridge and is the main basis for the overall print quality.

The surface of the magnetic shaft is covered with a black shell, which is a conductor. The shell may require independent replacement, separate from the magnetic shaft. If the print is very light, then you need to replace only the shell itself. Most often, this is wear of the surface of the magnetic shaft itself or the result of contamination. If the coating is worn, then looking at the magnetic shaft, you will see a silvery sheen of the coating. This malfunction is very easy to see in large areas of the drawing with a dense black fill.
