It is the latest Wi-Fi access point, designed for use in places where a high load and a large number of active connections are expected or already present. The manufacturer Ubiquiti equipped the access point with an updated antenna module, due to which the quality of communication was significantly improved, and, accordingly, the real speed of information transmission.

The access point has acquired a two-band 2.4 \ 5 GHz radio module and it supports the latest WiFi communication standards 802.11 ac of the second revision wave 2. This allows the access point to achieve the highest performance when a large number of subscribers are connected. A very important point in the UniFi AP XG is the presence of a duplicated radio module for the 5 GHz range, which provides a bandwidth of up to 3466 Mbit / s. In the 2.4 GHz range, the bandwidth reaches 800 Mbit / sec. Based on these values, the total speed is 4.26 Gbit / sec.

The next advantage of UniFi AP XG is the support of the MU-MIMO scheme, which helps to divide the channel into sub-channels for simultaneous data exchange with several connected subscribers. Thus, the entire channel cannot be occupied by a slow client with the lowest data transfer rate. Channel bandwidth will be dynamically distributed among subscribers.
