MikroTik has updated its popular OmniTIK 5GHz outdoor access point lineup. OmniTIK 5 ac received 5 gigabit Ethernet ports, as well as support for the 802.11ac standard.

 The wireless module works in dual-channel mode and according to the 802.11a / n / ac standard, while having full, backward compatibility with 802.11a / n, which facilitates planned work on network modernization.

The device is controlled by the RouterOS network OS with license level 4, which provides extended application possibilities. The device is equipped with a powerful processor with a frequency of 720 MHz and 128 MB of RAM, a volume of permanent flash memory of 16 MB with the possibility of expansion due to the presence of a USB port. All the filling is hidden behind a strong, moisture-proof case.

Two omnidirectional 5GHz antennas with a gain of 7.5 dBi are installed inside. On the front panel of the case there are a number of light indicators of the device status, the presence of power and links, the quality of the Wi-Fi signal and a configurable indicator.

If necessary, they can be simply dismantled. For more convenient use of the router, the power supply is based on the PassivePoE in technology, and the company's assortment includes a similar device with the ability not only to receive power via twisted pair, but also to transit to other consumers.
