It is a new development of the company. The device is positioned as a modern access point, which is distinguished by a lattice antenna designed by engineers for a narrow Wi-Fi beam. It is most appropriate to use Mikrotik LHG-HP5 where the task is to create a narrowly directed beam using a grating reflector. Strong wi-fi can be transmitted at a distance of up to 20 km, only under the condition of direct visibility and the absence of any obstacles, especially in the form of concrete walls.

The RB-LHG-5HPnD access point is equipped with a large antenna with a diameter of 391 mm and a gain factor of 24.5dBi. The LHG HP5 access point is most efficient at frequencies between 5.7 and 5.8 GHz. The round shape of the antenna was specially implemented to ensure the same gain in vertical and horizontal polarization.

The LHG-5HPnD radio module has a maximum output power of 630 mW. For example, for comparison in LHG-5 this value is equal to 300 mW. Thanks to this, the LHG-HP5 access point can provide connections at distances of up to 20 km in point-to-point mode.

The high amplification factor and very narrow directivity make LHG devices the right choice for building entry-level point-to-point wireless bridges over long distances.
