Thermal film HP LJ 2200/2300 BASF (WWMID-25843) is a special film through which printing is carried out on ordinary paper (roughly, as a typewriter does). The thermal film in the device can be reused.

The printing process itself is the rewinding of a roll of thermal film from one reel to another. During rewinding, thermal lines heat up the special surface of the thermal film and accordingly create an image.
