Thermal film Canon iR1430/1435 Welldo (FM1-B435-Original)
Thermal film is a part of the printer that is necessary to ensure that the image applied with toner is fixed on the paper, and not sprinkled when the sheet comes out of the printing device. It is a tube made of heat-resistant material. The thermal film in the printer must be replaced at regular intervals, as its material simply wears out over time and can thin out to the point of breaking.
When the thermal film is damaged, the printer makes extraneous sounds - crackling, rustling, etc.
Most often, damage to the thermal film occurs due to wear or after foreign objects get into the printer together with paper, for example, paper clips stapler, buttons, etc.
If the thermal film malfunctions during printing, external defects are visible - smeared text and images, spots, streaks, paper jams in the printer or the appearance of crumpled sheets in the accordion are also possible.
We do not recommend trying to pull out the jammed sheets yourself by hand or with the help of metal objects. In this way, you can further damage the thermal film and other components of the thermocouple, such as the thermocouple or the rubber shaft. In this case, the repair of the heat-sealing unit will be much more expensive.
