The BAHD-2000DM hand dryer from Ballu is equipped with a non-contact infrared sensor that controls the device's turning on and off when the user's hands approach and move away. The uniqueness of this sensor is that it is located in front of the air hole. Due to this, an extremely fast reaction to the movement of the hands is achieved. Since the hands are usually raised by the user from the frontal part, the closer the sensor is to the front end of the dryer, the faster the device will turn on and the faster warm air will start to flow. Due to this arrangement, the sensor turns on the device 1.5 times faster than ordinary dryers.
