Hetman Excel Recovery is a professional tool for recovering Excel and OpenOffice spreadsheets. Tables in XLS, XLSX and ODS formats can be successfully recovered from damaged and formatted drives, unstable devices and hard drives with damage to the file system and system data areas.
Hetman Excel Recovery is designed to solve the most difficult tasks. The program successfully copes with data recovery problems that other tools fail. The low-level disk analysis algorithm is able to detect remote spreadsheets even in the complete absence of both the file system on the disk and the system areas on the device itself. In the mode of detailed analysis, the program reads the entire contents of the hard disk, searching for spreadsheets by characteristic features - signatures. When recognizing the corresponding signature, the algorithm calculates the file size, after which it checks the integrity of the detected spreadsheet.
A special algorithm is used to work with faulty and damaged devices. Hetman Excel Recovery creates a virtual copy of the physical device by reading all the data from the unreliable media into a disk image file. During the work, special attention is paid to minimizing the number of movements of the magnetic heads of the drive, which significantly increases the chances of success in case of severe physical wear, problems with the electronics or mechanics of the disk.

In this mode, the program will try to capture an accurate image of the analyzed device as soon as possible, saving all available information in a separate file. Data reading in safe mode is carried out sequentially, and the number of movements of the disk heads is minimized.
