Port replicator ASUS SimPro Dock (ASUC707339)

Laptop computers, unlike desktop computers, have always had a lack of ports and connectors: if it is always easy to add the necessary controller or an additional bar to a desktop, then laptop owners had to be satisfied with only the set of ports that the manufacturer managed to place on the side panels of the machine.

It was especially sad with sub-notebooks, in which, for the sake of miniaturization, they refused not only optical drives, but also slots for expansion cards, and, of course, bulky serial and parallel ports. The port replicator differs from a full-fledged docking station in its compactness: it only expands the set of ports, and there is no place to install additional batteries or drives.
