A convector is a heating device in which the transfer of thermal energy from the heating element or heat carrier to the heated room is realized using convection. The essence of natural convection is that the air from contact with the coolant or heating element is directed upwards - because it is lighter, heavier masses of cold streams occupy the vacated space.
