PANASONIC Micro 4/3 Lens 8-18mm f/2.8-4 ASPH. Leica DG Vario-Elmarit (H-E08018E) is an ultra-wide-angle zoom lens.
The new lens was created taking into account the requirements of videographers.
It fully supports the latest algorithms of the focusing system of Panasonic cameras: the motor allows for 240 movements per second, which significantly reduces autofocus yawning, making it barely noticeable even when shooting video.
A separate stepping micromotor is responsible for the smooth closing/opening of the aperture, which allows you to eliminate the gradualness when the lighting changes during shooting, for example, when transitioning from shadow to light.
The motors work almost silently.

The new design of the optical circuit also minimizes the effect of focusing shift when zooming.
Instead of 16 elements in 12 groups, 15 are used in 10, there are 2 times more aspherical elements and an element with ultra-high refraction is added.
The lens was developed in cooperation with Leica experts.
The new Nano Surface Coating is used to protect against glare and side lighting.
The new lens has a removable hood and threading for light filters.

The lens is designed for professional shooting.
A strong metal case with silicone seals is reliably protected against the penetration of dust and water drops.
The lens can be used in cold weather: operation is guaranteed at temperatures down to -10°C.
