Leica's Nocticron marking is applied for the first time to a lens designed for Micro 4/3 standard cameras. The lens consists of fourteen elements assembled into eleven groups, with two aspherical lenses, one ultra-low dispersion lens and one UHR lens with an incredibly high refractive index. Aspherical lenses suppress spherical aberrations and distortions, the ultra-low dispersion lens provides high clarity and contrast without color mixing at the edges, and the UHR lens provides optical quality that is characterized by uniform sharpness from the center to the edges of the image.

The focal length is 42.5 mm, which is suitable for shooting portraits. Thanks to the light power of F1.2, you can blur the background, creating truly artistic pictures. The nine petals of the diaphragm form a round hole, so when shooting at small F values, the blur will turn out to be very soft. In addition, the lens will allow you to shoot landscapes with a natural perspective, and with the help of the control ring on its body, you can easily choose the appropriate aperture value. Due to the use of a nanocoating with an extremely low refractive index, it was possible to reduce the likelihood of glare in the entire visible range (380 nm - 780 nm). This decision made it possible to achieve the highest sharpness of the picture.

Due to the shallow depth of field characteristic of high-speed lenses, even the slightest hand shake can cause a blurry image, but the Power OIS optical stabilizer effectively compensates not only for fast movements with a small amplitude, but also for slow movements with a large amplitude, which allows you to take clear photos even in low-light conditions. The PANASONIC Micro 4/3 Lens 43 mm (H-NS043E) is equipped with an internal focusing system that provides excellent resolution and contrast throughout the range. Thanks to the new stepping motor, focusing has become smoother and quieter, which is important for both photo and video shooting. Provided that fast lenses are used, the contrast autofocus system is superior to the phase autofocus system in terms of speed and accuracy.
