Ubiquiti ER-6P router

The Ubiquiti ER-6P router is a productive 6-port router designed for routing traffic in medium-sized networks. Exactly the same as other models in the series, the ER-6p router model is controlled using the EdgeOs operating system, which offers the user or administrator a lot of management and control options.

The router is equipped with six ports, 5 of which are gigabit Ethernet for twisted pair and 1 SFP port for connecting to optical fiber. On the front of the router there is an indicator panel with LEDs, which is characteristic of all Ubiquiti equipment. With its help, you can immediately assess the state of the ports, find out about the presence or absence of a connection, as well as analyze the speed and activity of data exchange. The router is additionally equipped with a USB 3.0 interface and a console port, which can be used to control the router.

Ports #1-5 can be configured to distribute PoE 24, if it is necessary to supply power to client devices via an Ethernet cable. The EdgeRouter 6P router itself receives power through an external 24 V, 2.5 A adapter that comes with the router, as it is included in the package.

Ubiquiti provided the EdgeRouter-6p router with a powerful 4-core MIPS64 processor (frequency 1 GHz) and RAM standard DDR 3. This configuration guarantees the highest performance and reliable stability of the router even at peak load and with an unexpectedly high volume of traffic exchange.

The Web interface of the EdgeOs operating system, already known to many, allows you to configure any of the useful features of the ER-6P. So you can choose the type of connection to the provider's cable (PPPoe, DHCP, static IP), configure various parameters, including NAT server, local network, and more. Right here in the web interface, you can view statistical data on the operation of the network. Administrators can manage via SSH.
