Router Ubiquiti EP-R6

The Ubiquiti EP-R6 router is a universal all-weather router that is well suited for connecting base station access points. The switch has five gigabit RJ45 Ethernet ports with PoE 24 support, as well as an SFP port designed for connection to optical communication lines.

The switch is equipped with a productive dual-core processor MIPS1004Kc, with an operating frequency of 880 MHz, the amount of RAM is 256 mb DDR 3, which is more than enough to ensure fast traffic processing, even under conditions of increased load active data exchange. In this way, you can be calm about the stability of the device.

Outside, on the front side of the switch there is an indicator LED panel, which allows you to easily determine the status and presence of activity of the switch ports.

The EdgePoint-R6 case is sealed, and allows you to use the device outdoors in any weather, reliably protecting the electronic part of the switch from moisture and dust, as well as mechanical damage. The range of permissible operating temperatures is from - 20 to + 65 degrees.

Thanks to one compact EdgePoint controller, there is no need to buy expensive switching cabinets, make redundant structures that lead to excessive maintenance.

Thanks to its functionality, EP-R6 can act as a PoE candle to power a small base station with several access points. The use of gigabit ports, in turn, removes restrictions when used together with high-performance devices, for example, airMAX ac.

For stable operation, engineers equipped the device with a productive dual-core MIPS1004Kc processor with a frequency of 880 MHz. It is probably the same processor as in the EdgeRouter X. The amount of RAM is DDR3-1600, as well as the amount of permanent NAND Flash memory is 256 MB. The device runs EdgeOS, turning the EP-R6 into a full-fledged router (router).
