Router Mikrotik CCR1036-8G-2S+EM

Consolidating the success with which the new top line over productive Cloud Core Routers entered the network equipment market, the Mikrotik company presented another model of this series - CCR1036-8G-2S+EM. However, unlike the earlier models, it has a number of undeniable advantages and innovations, mainly those related to performance and already low bandwidth. And likewise, the model with the index EM (Extended Memory) has SODIMM DDR3 RAM increased to 16Gb (2x8Gb).

So in Mikrotik CCR1036-8G-2S+EM, there are two ports of the SFP+ standard, thanks to which it is now possible to connect to fiber optic communication channels at a speed of up to 10Gbit/s. Also, in the new model, the bandwidth of Ethernet ports is no longer a bottleneck, and has been increased to 28Gbit, which allowed to increase the performance of the router itself, up to 42mpps (Millions of packets per second).

Like other models in the Cloud Core Router series, the CCR1036-8G-2S+EM has such unprecedented power and unparalleled performance thanks to the latest, 36-core Tilera network processor Tile-Gx36, with a clock frequency of 1.2 GHz per core with a 12-megabyte cache and 4Gb (or even 16Gb, depending on the modification) of operational SODIMM DDR 1GB memory and built-in Flash memory for data storage.

In addition to the above, the CCR1036-8G-2S+EM is equipped with eight high-speed 10/100/1000 Mbit/s Gigabit Ethernet ports, with auto detection of speed and connection type. Which allows you to use the new router to bring to life the most daring network projects, even at the scale of large enterprises that require fantastic bandwidth. And this is also confirmed by the fact that all devices of the Cloud Core Router family work under the management of the proprietary Mikrotik RouterOS network operating system with the highest Level6 license, which has no restrictions on the number of connections.

With additional features, the new product is equipped with one DB9 RS232C port for router management and network monitoring, a reset/reset button, a MicroUSB port for expanding memory for data storage or organizing other services, as well as a touch LCD display for quick access to statistics and control of basic parameters.
