Mikrotik CCR1016-12S-1S + router is a high-speed gigabit router for organizing fiber optic networks. A distinctive feature of all devices of this series is the work based on multi-core processors from Tilera, which puts the speed of routing to a completely new level. Moreover, the cost for devices of this class is still relatively low.

Hardware
The main feature of CCR1016-12S-1S + is high-performance hardware of the new generation: 64bit CPU TLR4-01680CG-12CE-A3a with 16 cores with a frequency of 1.2GHz per core. Two DDR3 SODIMM slots with 2x 1GB RAM (can be modified with RAM cards of any size). 128MB of flash on a NAND chip.

Router
In addition to LED indication and a beeper, the router is also equipped with a touch LCD display. It displays information about links on each port (with graphs) and about the state of the device - load, temperature, memory consumption, etc. It is quite convenient, because in this way you will always know the general state of the network, which simplifies the detection of problems on the line.

CCR1016-12S-1S + is made in a 1U high aluminum case and can be mounted in a standard 19-inch rack (ears are included). The power supply unit is internal, so the device is connected directly to an outlet (100-240V) using an IEC14 cord (included). One of the features is the presence of an additional port on the PSU, for organizing uninterrupted power from a backup source (the second port is blocked by default, but is activated when the main one is turned off). Power consumption at maximum load is 44W. Cooling of the router is active (2x Smart FAN). The operating system CCR1016-12S-1S + works under the control of full-fledged RouterOS L6, which is a powerful software complex.
