Dosing blade Xerox WC 3215/3225 AHK (3203637)

The dosing blade is a thin plate made of stainless alloy or polyurethane.

When the magnetic shaft rotates, the dye powder from the toner hopper falls on its surface. In close proximity to the shaft shell is a sharp edge of the dosing blade, which cuts off part of the powder to form a thin, uniform layer of toner. From the magnetic shaft, the coloring powder is transferred (attracted) to certain places on the surface of the photo drum corresponding to the elements of the electrostatic image created by the laser. Thus, the metering blade prevents an excess amount of toner from getting onto the photo drum, which can cause various printing defects.
