The metering blade is a polyurethane or metal blade that regulates the amount of toner that enters the magnetic shaft. Participates in the process of triboelectric charge of the toner, which ensures very accurate transfer of the photo to the photo drum. As well as other parts, the metering blade itself must meet high quality requirements in terms of dimensional accuracy and rigidity, otherwise your cartridge will not function normally.

A damaged metering blade may apply toner unevenly on the surface of the magnetic shaft, which, in turn, will lead to uneven powder transfer to the photo drum itself and, ultimately, to poor print quality.
