The ST-Lab U-340 hub is a 7-port Universal Serial Bus USB 2.0 hub that allows you to connect up to 7 peripherals and other USB 2.0 devices to a PC or iMac. Implementing the idea of ​​using a standard bus outside the computer case, this compact device expands the capabilities of PCs and Macs by adding 7 USB 2.0 ports to the system.

The ST-Lab U-340 hub provides quick and easy access to 7 'A' type ports used to connect peripherals and other devices that support USB 2.0, as well as other USB hubs. One 'B' port is used to connect the ST-Lab U-340 to a computer or other USB hub. Configured directly by the operating system, the hub supports Microsoft OpenHCI, Intel Universal HCI and the new USB 2.0 EHCI specification.

Like any standard USB hub, ST-Lab buffers data for any peripheral or other device in accordance with USB 1.1 and 2.0 specifications, providing transparent expansion of the USB bus. Supporting data transfer at a low speed of 1.5 Mbps, a full speed of 12 Mbps and a high speed of 480 Mbps, each hub port creates a bridge between the peripheral device and the computer.
