TP-Link TL-SG1005P network switch

TP-Link TL-SG1005P network switch is a 5-port gigabit desktop switch that does not require configuration. 4 out of 5 RJ-45 ports with automatic detection (from 1 to 4) support PoE technology (power over Ethernet cable). They can automatically detect and supply power to devices based on the IEEE 802.3af standard that support the PoE function. In this case, data and electricity are transmitted over a single cable, which allows you to install network devices even in places where there is no access to an outlet or power lines.

Protection against overloads
The product supports the function of assigning priority, which allows you to protect the system from overloads. If the power of all consumers exceeds the maximum allowed — 56 W, the priorities will be distributed among the PoE ports in such a way that the port with the lowest priority will not receive power.

Port priority function
The priorities are distributed as follows: port 1 > port 2 > port 3 > port 4. This will ensure stable operation of the system. Port 4 will not receive power if the power of all consumers exceeds the maximum allowable — 56 W. As an example, consider the situation when devices with a power of 15.4 W are connected to ports 1, 2 and 4 (the maximum power on each port is 15.4 W), consuming a total of 46.2 W. If you now connect another 10 W device to port 3, the output power will be redistributed as follows: the devices connected to ports 1 and 2 will use 15.4 W of power each, the device connected to port 3 will use 10 W, and port 4 will not be powered.
