D-Link DGS-1210-10 network switch

D-Link DGS-1210-10 network switch is a series of next-generation Web-Smart switches with D-Link Green technology support. The switches of this series support advanced management and security functions, ensuring high performance and network scaling. Management features include SNMP, Web-based management, D-Link Network Assistant, and Compact Command Lines. DGS-1210 series switches support Auto Voice VLAN, providing maximum priority for "voice" traffic. The DGS-1210-10 model presented here is equipped with a passive cooling system that ensures silent operation and allows you to extend the life of the device.

Simple management and layer 2 functions
DGS-1210 series switches support a full set of layer 2 functions, including IGMP Snooping, Port Mirroring, Spanning Tree and Link Aggregation Control Protocol (LACP). The IEEE 802.3x flow control function allows you to directly connect servers to the switch for fast and reliable data transfer. Supporting the speed on each of the ports up to 2000 Mbit/s in full duplex mode, the switches provide high performance necessary for connecting workplaces with minimal data loss. The switches support the cable diagnostics function and the Loopback Detection function. The Loopback Detection function is used to detect loops and automatically disable the port on which a loop is detected. The cable diagnostics function is designed to determine the quality of the twisted pair, as well as the type of cable malfunction.

Network security
The D-Link Safeguard Engine function protects switches from malicious traffic caused by virus activity. Authentication based on the 802.1X port allows you to use an external RADIUS server for user authorization. In addition, the access control list (ACL) function increases network security and helps protect the network by filtering traffic originating from unauthorized MAC addresses or IP addresses. The switches also support the ARP Spoofing attack prevention function, which protects against attacks in Ethernet networks that can cause changes in traffic or its delay by sending false ARP messages. To prevent ARP Spoofing attacks, the switch uses the Packet Control ACLs function to block packets containing false ARP messages. To increase the level of security, the function DHCP Server Screening is used, which prohibits access to unauthorized DHCP servers.
