Ubiquiti ES-16-XG network switch

Ubiquiti ES-16-XG network switch is a managed fiber optic ten-gigabit switch that has 12 SFP + ports and 4 RJ45 10GBASE-T ports. This switch is part of the EdgeMAX line and with its help you can create a completely new network or expand an existing one.

As mentioned above, the ES-16-XG is a fully managed, 10-gigabit, fiber-optic switch that provides reliable performance and intelligent switching for those networks where high throughput is expected. The device is equipped with many functions and the necessary switching protocols for the administrator (Layer 2), and the possibility of routing on Layer 3 has also been implemented.

EdgeSwitch 16 XG can be used together with several EdgeSwitches and a 10-gigabit router using SFP + ports. The ES-16-XG can also be used with various Network-Attached Storages thanks to the 10G RJ45 ports.

The bandwidth of the EdgeSwitch 16 XG is sufficient for data transmission at channel speed at once on all ports and there will be no packet loss. 160 Gbit / c - this value is equal to the internal speed of the device.

ES-16-XG will be able to provide higher level performance with minimal delays as an aggregation switch. It can be connected via fiber optic or copper cable. There are 12 SFP + ports for optical fiber, and 4 ports for RJ45 that support 10GBASE-T technology. In the conditions of a standard connection at a speed of 10 Gbps, we recommend using a cable of category 6 or even higher and RJ45 connectors.

EdgeSwitch-16-XG is controlled by an integrated graphical user interface. It was specially designed by Ubiquiti for convenient configuration and full control of the switch. In it, the administrator will be able to make settings and control switching functions. A high level administrator will be able to use the command line interface through the same serial console port, Telnet and SSH.
