The M4250 switch is designed for clean integration with traditional rack-mount AV equipment. The sleek black case displays port and activity status on the front, while all power and network cables are neatly organized on the back.

The M4250 switch can be installed in an AV rack by unfolding if the installer so desires. Additional off-rack mounting options such as VESA mounting are also available. The M4250 switch comes with pre-drilled universal threaded holes located on the bottom and front of each switch. The M4250 series of AV switches support the same standard AV features used in the popular M4300 and M4500 switches for the industry's most popular AV-over-IP encoders and decoders. Therefore, deploying audio/video multicast over IP networks using the M4250 switches is a simple plug-and-play operation.

The Netgear AV Series M4250 line of fully managed switches includes high-performance, IEEE-compliant, professional audio, video, and IP video switches for small and large scale applications, including LED panel-based video walls. The M4250 switcher is pre-configured for standard audio and video signals. The AV interface also offers customization using port-based profiles. Dante, Q-SYS and AES67 profiles are available for audio. For video, the M4250 offers profiles for NVX, AMX, Q-SYS, NDI, Dante, and more, as well as mixed audio/video control profiles.
