D-Link DGS-3000-28SC network switch

The D-Link DGS-3000-28SC network switch is included in the line of level 2 managed switches and is intended for use in Metro Ethernet networks. The switch is equipped with 4 10GBase-X SFP + ports, which guarantees high performance when aggregating a large number of gigabit connections. The model is made in a case with a height of 1U and is suitable for both desktop installation and installation in a telecommunications cabinet.

All Ethernet ports of the switch-DGS-3000-28SC are equipped with built-in protection against static electricity up to 6 kV, which allows you to protect the device from voltage surges, especially if Ethernet cables are located in open space or in old buildings. In case of interruptions in the power supply, the switch has an additional connector for connecting the backup power source DPS-200A / 500A and DPS-500DC / B1 or a direct current power source with a voltage of 12 V. The use of this functionality ensures the transmission and reception of frames even in the event of network failures. The switches also support the Ethernet Ring Protection Switching (ERPS МСЕ-Т G.8032) technology, thanks to which the ring recovery time after a failure does not exceed 50 ms. Using the Loopback Detection function The Loopback Detection (LBD) function prevents congestion on uncontrolled network segments administered by subscribers or built on the basis of unmanaged switches. In addition, the DGS-3000-28SC switch supports port aggregation functionality based on the 802.1AX standard, the use of which allows you to combine several ports into a group, while increasing the bandwidth and increasing the fault tolerance of connections to ensure uninterrupted operation and load distribution among several network devices.

The switch implements a wide set of functions under LGPL level 2, including IGMP / MLD Snooping, Fast Leave and filtering. Support for this functionality provides an opportunity to work with IPTV services, which are gaining popularity and are in increasing demand on the service market every year. Application of IGMP / MLD Snooping functions based on the host provides connection of several IPTV subscribers to one network interface. ISM VLAN profiles allow users to quickly and easily assign or override presets for LGPL subscriber ports. Support for IGMP Authentication eliminates the possibility of unauthorized IPTV subscription due to the authentication of television set-top boxes. The D-Link DGS-3000-28SC network switch supports IPv6 functionality, including MLD Snooping, WAC, IPv6 ACL / QoS and IMPBv6, which facilitates easy integration of equipment in next-generation networks. In addition, this series supports the functions of both IPv4 / v6 protocol stacks, allowing the switches to act as a bridge between IPv4 and IPv6 networks.
