Photo drum HP LJ9000 AHK (100136)
The photo drum is a very important component of copiers and laser printers.
It is with its help that toner is applied to a sheet of paper during printing.
Constructively, the photo drum is a metal cylinder (usually aluminum), covered with a layer of photoconductive material - a dielectric, the electrical resistance of which drops sharply under the influence of light radiation.
The photo drum is designed to form an initially hidden electrostatic image on a photosensitive surface of the document (exposure), and then - receiving an image of the visible (manifestation) formed by toner particles and, then, transferring this image to paper.
As a result, an image appears on the paper, the same as the light that shone on the photo drum.
The photo drum is characterized by high reliability, long service life, and ease of maintenance.
