The advantage of Blu-ray technology has made it possible to create high-capacity discs that meet the requirements of the rapidly developing high-definition television (HDTV).
Blu-ray discs get their name from the technology that uses a blue laser. A laser beam with a shortened wavelength has a blue color. The blue laser has a wavelength of 405 nm, as opposed to the red laser used in conventional DVDs, which has a wavelength of 650 nm. Such a shortened wavelength allows data to be recorded more densely and, thus, to significantly increase the capacity of the disk. Blu-ray discs allow you to record the amount of information 3-5 times greater than the capabilities of a regular DVD disc, and to record, rewrite and play high-definition video images.

BD-R media are used in BD reading and writing devices. Service life thanks to Hard Coat Protection. For use only with read or write devices that are compatible with 25GB Blu-ray discs without a cartridge.
